HEALTHCARE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Implementing the Government’s National Digital transformation policy, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has focused on directing agencies and units to promote the application of information technology, building and developing e-Government and digital Government and Digital Transformation in the fields of state management of health as well as actively coordinating with ministries, branches and localities in digital transformation.
Accordingly, on February 3, 2023, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health issued Resolution No. 157-NQ/BCSD on the digital transformation of healthcare by 2025 with an orientation towards 2030. In this resolution, the Electronic Health Administration (National Health Information Center) was assigned to coordinate with ministries, agencies, and units in implementing the plan to promote the development of Digital Health Platforms and to implement the National Digital Transformation Program.
After that, the Ministry of Health continued to update and promulgate the Ministry of Health e-Government Architecture version 2.1, which initially provides an overall picture of health information technology towards the digital transformation of the healthcare sector.
* OBJECTIVES
Promote the digitalization of healthcare information, care for and protect people’s health, medical examination and treatment information to establish a national healthcare data repository, serving the healthcare digital transformation.
Enhance the capacity and efficiency of management, professional activities, and meet the requirements of implementing the national digital transformation program until 2025, with a vision towards 2030 set by the government, creating favorable conditions for timely and effective access to healthcare services for citizens and businesses.
The management and operation of the Ministry of Health and healthcare units within the healthcare sector must be transformed and implemented in a digital environment, utilizing modern data and digital technology platforms, through the digitalization of all information.
